Six Tips To Help You Write For Your Blog

Writing for your blog may seem awkward or scary. It does not have to be. Some common questions often heard from new bloggers are:

"I don't know what to write!"

"I can't write creatively!"

"What if I bore people?"

"How can I build traffic to my blog?"

"How do I write good content?"

I am sure you have heard a thousand times over; "Post, Post and then Post some more!" Good content attracts the search engines, which in turn, attract visitors and help build traffic to your blog. I have six tips for you as you start writing your blog:

1. Be yourself and be unique - One of my favorite resources is Jeff Herring, The Internet Article Guy . Jeff tells his students, seminar attendees and Web visitors to "Write like you talk" Do not try to sound like someone you are not. Be yourself and be natural. No one can be as unique as you are.

2. Be consistent - Make all your posts filled with interesting, informative, high quality content. Posting quality material, twice a week is better than posting low quality content every day. Your readers come for content. Give them what they are looking for. In addition, give it to them regularly.

3. Use catchy titles - When writing a post, the title has the ability make or break it. Finding your blog in search engines depends highly on your title. Use short, catchy titles. Your title needs to show direct relevance to the article making it more search engine friendly.

4. Lists, Lists, Lists - A well-written list post can drive the traffic in. People love lists and it is relatively easy to come up with a list of something! Do a top 10 reasons to do something, or the top five recipes you saved from Grandma. Write about the three blogs you visit most often. There are hundreds of possibilities.

5. Make use of comments - Comments let people share their thoughts about your post. Do you know what is good about comments? Often comments on your blog can become the basis for a new post!

6. Do not stop blogging. If you cannot think of anything to write about, visit other blogs in your niche aimed at the same target market. You are bound to find something interesting to write about in the hundreds and yes, even thousands of blogs on the Web. You could also write about the latest movie, book or product. Or your favorite reality show?

I hope this helps get you past the first stages of fear. Your blog posting is nothing to fear. Just be yourself and post away! Make sure you let others join in on your blog and watch other ideas magically appear!

Clean Your Computer From A Virus

Having a virus on your computer can slow down your computer, install spy ware, or let hackers into your computer to steal your information.
Knowing how to clean your virus-infected computer is easy. Here are some tips to show you how.

As soon as you thing your computer might be infected you should disconnect your computer from the Internet and any networks you computer might be on.
This is to ensure that the virus does not spread to other computers.

If you have an anti-virus program installed make sure it is updated first then run a full system scan.
The anti-virus might not detect the virus if the program is not updated.

Some anti-virus programs will detect the virus, but will not be able to remove it.
If that is the case, you can get a different program but downloading it from a non-infected computer or you can go to your local computer store and get a different one there.

Most anti-virus programs will ask you to restart you computer after it is finished scanning. Once you restart you computer run another scan to make sure that the virus is gone. When you restart your computer make sure that it is still disconnected from the Internet and other networks.
The best way to combat against viruses is to be cautious of programs and files you download. Do not open any e-mail messages or attachments you do not recognize. Get a good anti-virus program that is updated frequently and run system scans regularly.

Easy Ways to Make Money Blogging

Now that blogging seems to be in full swing, there's a predominant question in every blogger's mind - how do I make MORE money blogging?

The blogging world is a gold mine for the person who knows what he is doing. Tips and techniques can be shared and methods learned for making money with blogs , however, you cannot make money Blogging until you start trying. Blogging Tips, So, the first thing to do is plunge straight in and start trying to monetize your blog.

Ads ads and more ads:
If your blog is catering to a niche market and you are providing valuable content, there is an easy way to make money blogging - sell ad space! Even large corporations are on the lookout for ad space on blogs that have a good following. After all, Blogs are all about public opinion. If you let others advertise on your blogs with banner ads, sponsor ads, solo ads and classifieds, you can start earning money by blogging.

Google AdSense is another attractive option if you want to make money blogging. Google's Adsense program makes it easy to advertise on your Blog. You get paid for every time someone click on an adword campaign located on your blog - not a bad way to subsidize your blogging income!

Endorse, promote and link:
'You rub my back, and I rub yours'. Joint venture marketing is a powerful marketing strategy. By entering into joint venture, you basically promote or endorse certain products. The profits from these sales are split. If you have a loyal following a joint venture is easy because people want to JV with you.

Affiliate marketing is another way in which you can make money blogging. When you come across a product that is related to your blog recommend the product to your readers by linking to it. If they click the link and a sale takes place, you get a percentage of the profit. Some products can really make you a lot of money.

The membership model:
If you own a blog that provides quality content, you can think of converting it into a membership based blog. Once you have hooked your readers on your blog content, they will find it difficult to stop reading your blog. If you make your blog a paying member's only blog they will pay to gain access. However, this can be done after you have established your blog and convinced readers that your blog is worth paying for.

Convert Blog into E-Book:
Sell your blog content in more ways than one by converting them into e-books. If you cater to a niche market, there usually is a great demand for an ebook on the topic. Converting your blogs into content that can be sold will help you earn extra money blogging.

Ask for money:
You do not have to pound away at your keypad for free. If you have a blog that caters to a need or fights for a cause, do not hesitate to ask for a little monetary appreciation.

Recently, one blogger was able to leave his day job for 'uniterrupted Blogging' by cashing in on donations sent by his supportive readers.

If you have decided that you are blogging for money, do so whole heartedly. Place your Ads where people can see them, not in some half-hidden corner. If you are asking for a donation, ask loudly, don't just leave an add or donation button sitting on your blog half-heartedly. There is no need to feel apologetic or defensive about making money from your blogs. After all, if you have started a blog that gives people something they want, you have every right to get paid.

How To Create A Blog - The Best Way To Create Your Blog

Even if you're worried about doing something "technical" on the internet, it's surprisingly easy to create a blog for your personal use or to promote something for profit.

Far and away the best way to create a blog is to get some web space yourself (if you've already got a web hosting account, you've already done this part) and use your host's one click install option to put on a Wordpress blog.

Why create a Wordpress blog? Because it's free and it's pretty much the industry standard for blogs. There are lots of add-ons that you can use and there are lots of free blog templates (which Wordpress calls themes) that you can use to differentiate your blog from the thousands of other blogs out there.

Which means that the first thing you should do when you've created your brand new blog is personalize it.

Start with the blog theme.

The standard Wordpress theme works OK but it's a bit boring.

You can get "under the hood" and customize the look and feel of your blog from your Wordpress control panel but it is a lot quicker, easier and more reliable to simply choose a new blog template from the huge number available. Then you just upload it to your web space (use the file upload option in your web hosting control panel or, if you're feeling brave, an FTP program). Once it's uploaded, Wordpress will recognize this and will offer you the option to change your theme to the new one you've just installed.

Take the time to go through the various menu options on Wordpress. If this is the first time you've created a blog this way it may take you 20 or 30 minutes. Once you start to become a blog veteran, you'll get this process down to a couple of minutes.

Unless you have a pressing need to keep them, delete the Blogroll links that come with every installation of Wordpress.

Put your own blogroll there instead - this is a great place to discretely put some affiliate links and start earning your blog some cash.

Change the default "Permalinks" to something the search engines prefer. If you're not sure what to do, just select the "date and name based" option.

Activate Akismet anti spam.

Start creating the first post on your brand new blog.

Congratulations! You've just created a blog!

BlogRush - Fresh and New Flavors

Blog Rush will soon introduce flavors on their widget.

    MORE NEWS…

It seems that some people are trying to call BlogRush a “pyramid scheme” or stating “there’s just no way the future impressions will ever be able to be served based on the promises of what referrals will bring. The math is impossible like other schemes of this kind.”

Anyone that is saying this doesn’t understand how BlogRush works…

EVERY SINGLE IMPRESSION GETS REWARDED FOR *THAT* IMPRESSION AS IT HAPPENS. There is no “promise” of future rewards based on referral activity today. Each and every impression of the widget (and impression of the 5 headlines per widget) is rewarded AS IT HAPPENS. And when all the math is said and done, it also leaves 1 out of every 10 headline spaces left-over for BlogRush to use to monetize the service. So apparently some people think it’s all based on false promises that the network will eventually “catch up” and pay rewards in the future. This just isn’t the case. Every single impression that occurs is calculated and rewarded to the generations ‘above’ — that’s how the math has to work.

We’re working hard to move to the 100% Manual Review Process as quickly as possible, and other improvements.

As I’ve now said many times, our SOLE FOCUS is helping our members generate quality, targeted traffic. So we’re hard at work to make that happen.
